About Our Parts
Will these parts melt, warp, or fade on a hot dashboard?
Absolutely not. We never use standard hobby plastics like PLA or PETG. All of our interior components are manufactured using automotive-grade ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) or ASA reinforced with carbon fiber. ASA is engineered specifically for automotive exteriors and interiors because it is inherently UV-resistant (it won’t fade or chalk in the sun) and boasts a heat deflection temperature of over 100°C (212°F). Your parts will survive the hottest summer days in a closed cabin without warping.
Do these look like 3D prints, or will they match my original interior?
Our goal is restoration, not just replacement. We use high-resolution printers to replicate the original shape and fit in the Series 3 factory plastics. With ASA printed products you may see microscopic manufacturing marks on the parts, however ASA-CF prints show almost no layer lines at all.
Are the mounting tabs strong? My original plastics just snap when I touch them.
Original Series 3 plastics become incredibly brittle after 40+ years of UV exposure and temperature cycling. Our parts are designed to be stronger than the factory originals. We don’t just blindly copy the 1970s geometry; we digitally reinforce weak points, thicken mounting tabs, and add structural fillets to the screw bosses.
Will this fit exactly, or do I need to drill and file it?
Every part we sell is a guaranteed drop-in fit. We reverse-engineer our models directly from pristine OEM Land Rover parts and heavily test our prototypes on actual Series 3 vehicles before they ever reach our store. The instrument clusters, vents, and column covers will align perfectly with your original bulkhead and factory hardware. The instrument panel switch recesses have been left undrilled, as you may prefer to leave a slot blank. Please double-check your vehicle’s year and whether it is Left-Hand Drive or Right-Hand Drive when ordering, as some clip locations vary.
Can I paint these parts to match a custom interior?
Yes. While our parts come in an OEM-style satin black that looks great raw, ASA plastic takes automotive primers and paints beautifully. If you want to color-match your interior, simply give the part a light scuff with fine-grit sandpaper, apply a plastic adhesion promoter, and then prime and paint as you would any standard car part.
What if the part doesn’t fit my vehicle?
We stand behind the engineering of our parts. If a component does not fit your standard Series 3 exactly as described, contact us within 10 days. We will help troubleshoot the installation or issue a full refund upon return of the unmodified part.
What is the difference between ASA and carbon fiber parts?
Here is how they differ to help you choose the right fit for your restoration:
ASA (Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate) This is our standard, highly durable material. It offers excellent impact resistance, meaning it can easily handle the heavy vibrations and daily bumps associated with driving a vintage Series 3. If you are aiming for a traditional, factory-original restoration, standard ASA is an excellent choice.
ASA-CF (Carbon Fiber-Reinforced ASA) This is our premium upgrade material. ASA-CF takes standard ASA and infuses it with chopped carbon fibers. This addition significantly increases the stiffness, rigidity, and dimensional stability of the component. Visually, the carbon fibers give the plastic a beautiful, deep matte finish with a subtle texture that effectively hides 3D printing layer lines. Choose ASA-CF if you want a premium, “OEM-plus” aesthetic with maximum structural rigidity.
I purchased unassembled parts. What do I need to do?
Unassembled parts will need to be assembled after delivery. We include dovetail dowels with demister vents that pop/press into place and line up and mechanically join the halves. This is sufficient for installation. However, for a rock-solid fit we recommend acetone bonding (essentially nail polish remover), which will permanently bond the two halves and make one solid component. Check the videos on site for bonding instructions.
Which Land Rover models do your parts fit?
We specialize in restoration parts for classic Land Rover Series 3 and Defender vehicles. Each product listing specifies compatible models and years. The official Land Rover part number is also used in the product description to eliminate confusion.
Are your parts direct replacements for OEM parts?
Yes, our parts are precision-engineered to match original specifications. They are designed to improve on the original to compensate for design flaws and weaknesses, and where materials or tolerances have improved over time.
Ordering
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We maintain stock and ship to North and South America, Europe, the UK, Australasia, and everywhere in between. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout based on your location.
Will I be charged duties or import taxes?
Orders shipped within Canada or to the US, UK, or EU will not be charged duties or import taxes. Our parts to these locations are shipped delivery duty paid. However, parts shipped to other countries may require duties to be paid at the border. We are simply not in control of what import taxes some countries may charge. At this time, some European countries and the USA are imposing extra tariffs on imported goods, so please be aware.
How long does shipping take?
Delivery times vary by destination. Estimated transit times are shown at checkout. Please note that dispatch may take 1–3 business days before your order ships.
